We’re Adopted! Prophecy Update A BUSY SUMMER The Future Memorial List Life can sometimes start out hard. So it was for two beautiful little girls. Their future looked bleak as they found themselves without a home, or Mom or Dad to love and care for them. Unknown to them, a Mom and a Dad were longing for a child to hold and care for. Kipp and Geralyn Loeslie of Warren MN. had been praying for a long time that God would bless their home with another child. Their two sons were growing up and they felt God wanted them to bring another child into their home. They tried applying through adoption agencies, but it seemed as though their requests had fallen upon deaf ears. When it seemed as though there was no hope, they received a phone call. "We have two little girls who need a home. Are you interested?" Flying to Dallas, Texas, they came face to face with Alexis and her little sister Alyssa, and it was love at first sight. Alexis and Alyssa now have a loving Mom and Dad, and two older, adoring, brothers. Most of all, they have a home where Jesus is Lord. Being adopted can be traumatic. New parents always fear this possibility. The first big adjustment for these two girls was seeing snow. They loved it and cried when it began to melt. Only God could cause things to go so smoothly. How they have adjusted can be best explained by what happened this summer during our tent crusade. Kipp and Geralyn came to the tent along with Alexis and Alyssa. After the service, the girls walked up to a friend of ours who they didn’t know. With a big smile on their faces, they said, "We’re adopted." Before their adoption, these girls had no future and no hope. Through adoption, they became members of a family with the same rights as their new brothers. No wonder they were so excited. They indeed, were chosen. As I looked at the smile on Alexis and Alyssa’s faces, I was reminded of what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 8. We were like children without hope. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are declared adopted into God’s family. In verse 15, Paul says, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." The first time we met Alexis and Alyssa, it was such a joy to see one of them sitting on Kipp’s lap and call him "Daddy". Abba Father is an endearing term a child uses in addressing his or her father, who loves them. The relationship our Heavenly Father wants with us is that kind of relationship. The joy of knowing that they belonged was evident on these girls’ faces. What a fearful thing it would be to not know you belonged nor were wanted. Adoption is a gift given, not earned. The only thing we can do to receive our salvation is to respond to God’s invitation. We must acknowledge that we cannot earn eternal life. Jesus paid it all. He initiated the process and chose us. He then paid the price of shedding his own blood to make the adoption possible. When the girls learned that they were going to be given a new
home with a Mommy and Daddy that would love them, they did not understand the
vast amount of time it had taken to put it all
Jeremy gives the girls a mandolin lesson. Many people get excited about the wrong things. Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 10:20, "Not withstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven." I have heard people say, "We are all children of God." This is not true. Only those who have been adopted into God’s family are His children. Jesus was the only true Son. Everyone else has to be adopted. God has to initiate that adoption process by offering us eternal life through His son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin, as it is our sin that separates us from God. He reveals to us our lost condition and draws us to Christ. When we confess our sinful condition and repent of it, Jesus forgives us at our request. Without the Holy Spirit’s drawing us, we could not be saved. Sorrow and depression come from looking back to the failures of yesterday. Joy and peace come from being thankful for today and rejoicing in the promises of tomorrow because you have been adopted. " Old things are passed away, behold all things have become new."Years ago, we walked the streets of Mexico. It broke our hearts to see homeless children looking for handouts. Their faces showed a hopeless despair. Many who had parents, lived in cardboard shacks. Their hope was for food for another day. Upon our return from that trip, we were so thankful for home and family. Oh the joy of belonging and being loved. Without Jesus Christ, one is like these homeless children. Walking through shopping malls, you see so many sad, hopeless expressions on people’s faces. There is no joy when you live without an eternal future. Only through Jesus Christ can we find a true reason for being alive. The day I was adopted into God’s family by being born again, I felt so free and happy; I thought I could almost fly. The joy of knowing for sure that all your sins are forgiven and that you have a home in heaven is the most wonderful experience you can have on this earth. The reason this ministry has been going these 40 years is because we want to share this wonderful promise of eternal life with as many as possible. Jesus is coming again and we will all stand before God. When that day comes, will you stand before him as His adopted child or as a stranger without a heavenly home prepared for you? God is offering to adopt you as His child. You must be willing to come to Him. Now is the time, don’t wait until it is too late. Jesus said, "Behold I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with Him, and He with me." Rev. 3:20.
We are living in some of the most exciting, life-changing days in history. The days are passing by so quickly and each day seems to hold some new developments that have a direct link to end times and Bible prophecy. In our last letter, we mentioned Henry Kissinger as a spokesman for the Bilderbergs, saying that they have groomed President Obama to be one of the key leaders in the New World Order, which is the European Union. Who are the Bilderbergs? The Bilderberg group consists of about 140 wealthy and powerful people who meet annually to discuss key global issues. Named after the Bilderberg Hotel in Oosterbeek, the Netherlands, where it held its first meeting in 1954. The group is highly secretive, doesn’t let journalists attend unless they agree beforehand not to report on the proceedings, and won’t even say who is a member. It’s known that attendees include politicians, Royalty, wealthy industrialists, and back room power brokers. Conspiracy theorists say the group essentially controls the world and makes key decisions on international policy. Their goal is to set up a one world government, with a single permanent, leader in control. The leader that will emerge as the leader of the New World Order as is described in Daniel 2:23 as the king of fierce countenance and in verse 24 it says that he "shall destroy the mighty and the holy people." In Dan. 7:23 "and shall devour the whole earth." Rev. 13:1-8 describes him as being worshipped by all that dwell upon the earth. The great news is that in Daniel 2:34, he and his kingdom are destroyed when Jesus the true King comes again. The Muslims are taught that the Jews and the infidels are standing in the way of the great leader of peace to come and set up his kingdom, therefore they are out to destroy Israel which is a fulfillment of Ps.83:4 and also the United States because we support Israel and they consider Christians as infidels. Iran will soon have nukes that they see as a way to destroy Israel. Also within the past couple of weeks, a Russian sub was seen off of our east coast. The perilous times spoken of in 2 Tim. 3:1 are here! Don’t be discouraged, lift up your heads because it all points to the return of Jesus to take his people home and eventually set up His kingdom that shall never end. "Surely, I come quickly. Amen. Even so come, Lord Jesus." Revelation 22:20.
When I was young, I remember hearing my parents say, "Either times are speeding up or we are getting slower." Now I am beginning to understand what they meant. Really, this whole, year has sped by. This was the year for weddings. It all started in April with KaraLynn and Troy. I remember David and Brenda telling about how tired they were after each of their children got married. They told about all the work that went into it. Now we understand what they meant. The next one came in June. Nathan and Chara were married in Williams MN. where her dad pastors. For us that wasn’t as stressful since we didn’t have as much responsibility with that. It was an outdoor wedding that went off without too much rain. Kevin and Aleza planned their wedding for just five weeks after Nathan and Chara’s. They were married in our little church and the Lord blessed them with a beautiful day. To complicate things a bit, a week after Nathan and Chara’s wedding, we started the Polk County Fair at Fertile MN. We always take our motorhomes and park next to our Gospel Tent. This way, we are always close by for when we are needed. It also provides a place to rest as it becomes very tiring. While the Tent is in session, it also becomes a counseling and prayer room. Our plans were changed when we were not able to get Gary and Lois’ motorhome started. This meant driving back and forth each day which is 50 miles each way. The Lord had mercy on us and two friends, Traci and Mark Morinville, of Brooks brought their 5th wheel camper for us to stay in. We have known Traci since she was a baby. She and her family lived across the parking lot from the fair. Every year when we would arrive at the fair, we would look across the parking lot and see little Traci running toward us. For those few days, she would become our little girl. She always brought us such joy. Traci is now grown up and has a wonderful husband and little girl of her own. In our time of need, Mark and Traci came to our rescue and were once again, a great blessing to us. By the time the fair had ended, we were exhausted, but rejoicing in all the Lord had done. We heard so many great comments of what a blessing the Gospel Tent was to the many people who attended. We now had one week to rest up before the next great event would begin. Back in the early 50’s, Evangelist Clarence Haaland set up a
Gospel Tent near Pine Lake (Near Gonvick) MN and for many days, held tent
meetings. During that time, many came to Christ. Being a little boy,
Like the tent meetings of years ago, we used the same song books Evangelist Haaland used years ago for the nightly song service. The best part was seeing people at the altar coming to Christ for salvation, rededication and healing.
Don’t quit yet, were the words we heard from so many as the nights progressed. What started out to be a week of meetings, ended up going for 16 days. Even then, some wanted the meetings to continue, but we had no choice. We were becoming very tired from the busy schedule, but a more pressing thing was upon us. Kevin and Aleza’s wedding day was approaching.
We ended the tent meetings on Thursday evening. Kevin and Aleza’ wedding rehearsal was on Friday evening and the wedding was on Saturday. The day dawned with the sun shining bright as though God was saying, "I made this special, just for you." The wedding was beautiful and was a day they, and we, will always remember. Many years ago, we dedicated our son to the Lord. Now, I had the privilege of joining him and his bride in holy matrimony. Where ever we go, people are talking about how shaky the future is. Many are struggling financially and have had to make big changes. We to, have had to adjust our ministry as the finances have not been what they should be. We have had to cut the number on our mail list dramatically. Pray that the Lord will give us wisdom as to how to handle our finances in the best way. We believe we are standing on the brink of a great move of God. For that reason, we must keep this ministry going and ready to move quickly when the doors swing open. History proves that when a people pass through troubled waters, they become desperate for God in their lives. We believe that time is drawing close. For that cause, your continual financial support is needed and so appreciated. Each day is a day of testing as we wait upon the Lord to meet our needs. We continue to reach out with the Gospel through the radio waves, the internet, and our services. Recently we received an email from a pastor in India who read our newsletter on the internet and was blessed and encouraged. Through the internet, our newsletter and radio broadcast are now reaching around the world, even where Christianity is illegal. Only God knows the extent of this ministry. We must just be faithful and trust Him. Thank you for your love and support.
